On November 1, COFCO Group President Yu Xubo met with Managing Director Peter Freedman of the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) and board members of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). He also joined Group Vice President Wan Zaotian, former deputy director of State Food and Drug Administration Bian Zhenjia, and GFSI board chairman Cenk Gürol in attending the signing ceremony of an MOU on cooperation between the China Nutrition and Health Food Association (CNHFA) and the GFSI.
Yu Xubo briefly reviewed the previous cooperation between COFCO Group and the GFSI and affirmed that the newly-established China Nutrition and Health Food Association will always maintain a sound cooperative partnership with the GFSI in a joint effort to take food safety to the next level in China.
COFCO Group President Yu Xubo was elected the president of the China Nutrition and Health Food Association, which was established on September 15, 2015.
