2015 Annual Meeting of Members of APEC China Business Council was held in Beijing in the morning of July 23, 2015. COFCO Group Chairman Frank Ning attended and presided over the opening ceremony and made a speech as chairman of APEC China Business Council.
According to Frank Ning, over the past two years of development the Council has been growing increasingly stronger with more and more influential members joining the platform. He expected new members to get acquainted with this platform as quickly as possible and to actively participate in the events held by the Council.
After the opening ceremony, Frank Ning presided over the plenary session of annual meeting of Council members. The session took a vote on the revised draft of Council Charter and voted on and approved co-opted candidates for executive vice chairman and vice chairman.
Jiang Zengwei, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and relevant leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Commerce attended the opening ceremony. Over eighty members including Chairman of China Construction Bank Wang Hongzhang, President of China Guodian Corporation Qiao Baoping, President of China Power Investment Corporation Wang Binghua, CITIC Group general manager Wang Jiong, and Chairman of People’s Insurance Company (Group) of China Ltd. (PICC) Wu Yan and their representatives attended the plenary session of the Council meeting.
