Patrick Yu has been appointed as a new Director and President of COFCO Limited recently, taking the rein from Mr. Liu Fuchun, COFCO’s former Director and President.
Patrick Yu was born in 1966. He graduated from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), where he majored in International Trade. He also holds a degree of EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Patrick joined COFCO in 1988, and he was promoted to Deputy General Manager of Futures Trading Department of COFCO in 1995. In 1997, he was appointed as General Manager of COFCO Futures Brokerage Co., Ltd. Patrick held the position of Assistant President of COFCO in 1998, and later Vice President of COFCO since 2000.
